"Bluebell" is our 2017 VW LWB T6 Campervan. She was converted from a panel van in 2020 by Camperking in Oxfordshire. We purchased her in July 2020 from Expedition Campers, a Camperking agent. She has 46000 miles on the clock when we bought her and now has 563000 miles on the clock and has had a recent MOT (no advisories, expires June 2025) and service. Very good condition.
We have looked after her diligently, with an annual service alongside the MOT, as well as the annual Camperking habitation check (which maintains a guarantee of the conversion components). We also had the cam belt and water pump replaced in 2021 (4 years) as recommended by VW. Other maintenance and improvements include:
Ghostwatch II engine immobiliser fitted in 2021
THQ LED headlights (V3) fitted in 2022
New BOSCH AGM starter battery fitted in 2022, with external charge lead point
Additional leisure battery added in 2022
Solar panel replaced under warranty in 2023
In terms of ‘spec’, Bluebell is a VW LWB T6 204ps Highline T30 Transporter van with a Camperking St. Tropez conversion. This campervan has not been a daily driver for us, hence the low miles. We’ve used her for weekends away, for occasional longer trips (Majorca in 2022 and Scottish North Coast 500 in 2023), and for trips to cycling events in the UK. When parked up the solar panel keeps the batteries charged up and in winter she is also hooked up to make sure the batteries are in good health. In idle periods the van has been given a good run out every couple of weeks.
