About the area: Maya is located in Norwich right next to the beautiful Old Catton Park. The location is roughly 30-50 minutes from the popular Norfolk coastline, perfect for pubs and hikes. There are also some brilliant campsites in the surrounding area.

Description of Beds: Maya sleeps up to 4 adults with 2 double beds. She has an electric bed lift that lowers down and is supported to act as 'top bunk' above the seating area (size 142cm x 154cm). The second bed is made by removing the dining table and using it as the base for the 'bottom bunk' the cushions then easily fold down to create your lower bunk!

Description of Seating: Maya can carry 3 people seated in the front with headrests. The dining area can sit up to 4 adults comfortably, but there’s still plenty of space to move comfortably around the van.

Description of Electrical Setup: Maya is a self-sufficient mobile sanctuary with top-of-the-line Victron powered electrical setup. Designed for adventurers who crave freedom and convenience Maya also boasts a Victron Energy MultiPlus Inverter and 360W DC-DC charger. She runs off-grid and is loaded with 500W solar panels so you don’t have to worry about running out of charge! The system provides reliable power wherever your journey takes you. With efficient solar panels, high-capacity batteries, and advanced inverters, you can enjoy all the comforts of home on the road. The easy to use centralised control panel gives you a complete system overview. Charge your devices, run appliances, and power your adventures with ease. Inside the van you’ll find 2 x double socket UK plugs both with added USB and USB-C ports. In the drivers cab there is also a cigarette charging point with a USB and USB-C port for charging en-route.

Parking: If you’re driving to pick up Maya - your car can be left on the driveway in Maya’s usual space - rest assured there is CCTV to keep your car safe whilst you enjoy your travels. Norwich city station is approximately 10 minutes from where we are situated. Pick-ups and drop-offs can sometimes be accommodated from the station subject to prior arrangement and availability.

Cooking Equipment: Maya has a sleek, modern design with an intuitive kitchen layout. Whether you're whipping up a quick snack or a gourmet dinner, the kitchen ensures you have everything you need to cook in comfort and style. Designed for culinary enthusiasts and adventurers alike, this compact yet fully equipped kitchen offers all the conveniences of home on the road. Featuring a double gas hob, a Thetford 12v deluxe combined oven and grill and a Dometic premium 48l Fridge with 4.4l freezer space. This small yet efficient space means you can prepare delicious meals wherever you are. Maya also has a built-in butler sink unit with hot and cold running water.

Maya is loaded with all the utensils and culinary devices you need to cook up a feast including; 2 x frying pans, 1 x pan, 3 x full sets of cutlery, 3 x mugs, 3 x glasses, 1 x measuring bowl, a tin opener, 2 x kitchen knives and a bread knife, 3 x large plates, 3 x bowls, a cheese grater, potato peeler, chopsticks, tea strainer, food strainer, 1 x wooden chopping board, wooden cooking utensils, a coffee strainer, kettle and toaster. Plus everything to keep things neat, tidy and safe such as an oven glove, dustpan and brush, hot pan cork plates, collapsible washing up bowl sink drainer and dishwash.

Water and Sanitation: Experience convenience and comfort on the road with Maya’s fixed electrical supplied water system. The system ensures you have access to clean water and a toilet wherever your adventures take you. Featuring a modest 70-litre fresh water tank hidden on the underside of the van, you'll have water for cooking, washing and showering. The 50-litre waste water tank also situated under the van efficiently handles grey water, keeping your van clean and eco-friendly. Indulge in the luxury of an indoor heated shower with just a 20 minute wait time for the hot water to get pumping! The combined shower/toilet wet room is the perfect blend of efficiency and luxury. You will also be provided with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. For those who enjoy the great outdoors, the system also includes an outdoor cold shower, ideal for quick clean-ups. Maya has a compact and convenient 17.5l cassette toilet which can be easily removed to be emptied.

Audio Equipment: Maya does not include any types of speakers - but feel free to bring your own! There’s an electrical system with enough power to keep your speaker charged up to serenade your travels!

Type of Heating: Maya features a lightweight and compact Truma Combi Boiler (2.75kg Gas) offering both heating and hot water in one efficient, compact unit. Enjoy the luxury of hot showers and a warm interior, no matter where your adventures take you. It has an easy to use interface inside the camper so that you are in control of the temperature. The deluxe Maxxair Maxxfan roof ventilation system is designed to keep the van well-ventilated whether you're cooking or sleeping. It’s powerful, yet quiet and has an energy-efficient design conserving battery power.

Conversion Story: Maya was purchased in 2020 from a desire for travel. With travel restrictions in place there was a deep desire to go off-grid and make memories travelling the UK. Unfortunately we did not get off as quick as we hoped, with many stops, starts and curveballs it’s taken us 4 years to get Maya to where she is now. I enlisted the help of Rob from Rogue Concept’s and Tom from Tiny Electrics to help with the build, along with the help of my partner and family members. The key was to have high quality products that last well with little maintenance and work into a sleek and modern style. What I love about Maya is the spacious feel inside the van. With the electric bed lift it really gives the dynamic of an upstairs/downstairs feel along with the separated cosy dining area. She’s an absolute diamond of a van - practical, high performance and a luxury feel - you can’t ask for more. We have taken her for her first 6 day trip completely off-grid with no need to hook-up for electricity and just about made it without needing to refill the water tank! Not bad going!
